Well, this one’s been stewing for a while, and it’s nearly ready for mass consumption. But not quite yet. There’s a bunch of cool people involved, and I’m hoping to see a lot of you guys involved as well once it starts rolling. Let’s see if you guys can guess what I’ve been up to! :) More as it develops, back to packing for WWDC!

Are you going to make killer applications along with other cool people? :D

Although I’m happy with Mail.app, there do seem to be oodles of people who want an uberly nice email client that can handle oodles of mail without skipping a beat, so if I’m guessing purely on supposed demand, I’d say an email client on steroids.

Is it some kind of joined-effort-software-development project that anyone can participate in?

It wouldn’t happen to be related to that Jasper ‘Disco’ updater-like app, would it? :)

Very interesting. I will definitely be keeping an eye on this baby. With the people you guys have working on this it should be nothing but spectacular.

How long do we have to wait until we know what it is?

Hmmm….I could see that working a couple of ways. One would be to make the app ideas the “contestants,” letting viewers (web surfers) vote for the top one. Then, the winning idea would be built. That would be brilliant, along the lines of Cabrian House — http://www.cambrianhouse.com/how-it-works/. The other scenario might be that developers themselves build apps that are voted to the top, but with a feature+discount at the end. (No cheesy losers tour around the states :-)

The concept I’m imagining sounds enticing. Mac users get the cool stuff first. Again. I shake my fist in your direction.

I’m thinking which this is probably wrong but still a good idea. A site where someone who has extensive program knowledge opens up to suggestions about apps that people want for themeselves but don’t exactly know how to make it.

May be a podcast or vodcast maker type of application including an easy way to publish online, without having a an own place to host it, In the case of vodcast, I imagine you cans make a karaoke, or some collaborative vodcasts via ichat.

This could be some contest where developers have to create an application by X date, starting from X date. All the apps would be judged and the best one wins, o i dont know…a prize. Kind of like Rails Day meets Cocoa.

@Matt, That’s what IronCoder run by Gus Mueller is doing and it’s gotten some great developer involvement.

[...] I know the last teaser was relatively void of details, so consider this post Teaser 2, the Hollywood style sequel with less plot and more big name stars! [...]
